Several weeks ago I was watching the Food Network as they counted down the five best donuts in America. I was excited to learn that one of the best donut shops is only 4 hours from me in Round Rock, Texas. When we went to Austin for ACL, I made sure that I had mapquested Round Rock Donuts so that I could swing by. Sure enough, they sell a glazed donut that was served piping hot with warm, sticky glaze. The donut was a bit larger than your average and had a beautiful, golden color thanks to the farm fresh eggs used in the historic recipe. The shop itself was clean and well organized and was easy to find at the base of the old silver water tower in Round Rock. If you’re in that neck of the woods it’s worth the trip, otherwise they can ship them to you and they’ll be at your door by tomorrow morning.
they are pretty!))
