I was sitting in George’s Big “O” this weekend in Waco, Texas sipping a Tecate with my friend, Jeff, and I wondered how did I get here? It seems like yesterday when when he and I first met. It was 1988 and he wanted to look like George Michael and I wanted to be Madonna. It was a match made in heaven.

We had similar interests at the time, so we became roomates. We were both deep thinkers and spent a lot of time pondering debatable subjects like “which product is superior, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion or Estee Lauder’s Fruition?” Each morning we went religiously to step aerobics and at night we watched our favorite shows: 90210, Melrose Place and Love Connection.
Here we are in 1993 on a ski trip to Beaver Creek, Colorado. I was sporting a thermal ski headband with sort of a Dorothy Hamill kind of haircut. Our musical tastes were really refined, too. We loved Paula Abdul’s Vibeology and of course the whole Milli Vanilli album.
Not sure who these two fat people are, but I do know that this was the year that Taco Bell introduced the 7-layer burrito and we both loved them.
In 2004 times got a little tough and Jeff took a job as a pimp and I was his #1 girl. We worked Fourth Street and took out anyone who got on our turf. Just kiddin’ but this was a Pimp n’ Ho Ball and we were robbed during the Best Dressed Contest and didn’t even place.
This was a trip to Canada a couple of years ago when we got sloshed had a wine tasting and jacuzzied skiied Whistler. We had such a great time except for the 6:15 a.m. flight home.
Which brings us back to George’s Big “O” in Waco. We stopped in to break up our trip to Austin. Blame It on the Rain came on the juke box and all the memories of our past flooded back and as we sipped our drinks, Jeff said, “I want you to try to my Aveda cleanser tonight”.
I love your Madonna hair.
awww what an amazing walk down memory lane!! Your both so cute all the way! Blame it on the Rain …
Oh…I loved the Love Connection!!!
Gotta love good friends with whom you can share great, “oh my God”, and fat pictures with!!!

Life wouldn’t be the same without Jeffie and Crys!

Firstly, you are gorgeous and can wear your hair ANY WAY and it looks fantastic.
Secondly, I’m so glad people seem to refine with age and get better looking.
You guys do a mean Madonna and George.
I need a guy that will help me find a new face wash. Where did you find him?
[...] Jeff asked me if I wanted to be involved in a group of people who are doing a macrobiotic, vegan fast for 28 days. My initial reaction, “HELL NO!” But the more I thought about it, the more the idea grew on me. I could feel my waistline expanding over the holidays and sporadic calorie counting and exercise weren’t bringing about the changes that I wanted. I decided to buy the book. I figured I would read it, decide that this wasn’t something for me, and bow out. [...]
